Join us as New Works hosts Barb's Next Stage, a thank you party for Barb Clausen, which will include an evening of performances, raffle prizes, and other surprises, as well as be a fundraiser for the organization. While not exactly retiring, she will be bidding farewell to New Works, the organization she founded in 1993 and has led for the past 17 years.

Speaking of Dance is an illustrated lecture series developed to enrich and deepen your experience of dance. These public lectures and discussion groups are a springboard for exchanging ideas and developing a deeper understanding of the world of dance and contextualizing the form in the broader Vancouver community and the world of art and culture. Presented by artists, curators, art historians, critics, writers, academics and other creative thinkers, this lecture series will give you the information, language and confidence you need to speak about dance.
