DANCE ALLSORTS: AFRICAN STAGES, COMFORT ERO

This edition of Dance Allsorts will feature African Stages’ youth group, who will use dramatized storytelling, drumming and dancing to herald messages of solidarity and inclusion. This performance is directed by BC-based, award-winning teacher, writer and storyteller, Comfort Adesuwa Ero. African Stages Association of British Columbia uses African Performing Arts as a way of teaching. Their performance will be full of African stories, dances and drumming, featuring performances of: West African Harvest and Kassa Dance, South African Gumboot Dance, stories from West and East Africa full of variety in animal characters, dances, magic, and music – accompanied by the energetic drumming of their youth performers.
