Presentation Advisory Committee Opportunity: New Works

The New Works Presentation Advisory Committee is made up of 3 to 5 Dance Artists who are connected to Vancouver who review applications and make recommendations for New Works’ Presentation series that align with New Works Vision and Mandate.

PRESENTATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE GOALS

The Goals of the New Works Presentation Advisory Committee include, but are not limited to: 

• Formalize community-led decision making processes for New Works presentation opportunities
• Promote New Works presentation opportunities to equity-seeking artists 
• Report on the evaluation and selection processes to New Works Presentation Advisory Committee Members

Term: Presentation Advisory Committee Members will participate in a short term trial period starting no earlier than January 3, 2022 and finishing no later than May 31, 2022. This position may be renewed. Committees are put together as a whole to reflect the diversity of our community and its unique creative practices. Representation within the committee of different types of dance, methods of creation, skill sets, and life experiences influence advisory committee selection.

The Presentation Advisory Committee Members will work closely with the Presentations Coordinator, Beverly Walker, the Executive Director, Share Dance Coordinator and ​​Vidya Kotamraju, New Works Board Director.
